So my son had his usual eye check up this afternoon. It was surprising that there was no queue of patients that when we got to the clinic, my little Z was immediately called. Thirty minutes after getting there, we were done! 🙂 The fastest consultation schedule to date. LOL! Anyway, little Z had his lens extraction surgery last December (see here for the story) and had been on bi-monthly consultation schedule from January to first week of March. It was tedious and tiring for the first two months since every other week, I had to bring him down to […]
7 Months…
My baby just turned 7 months. Boy, where did all those months go? I keep thinking that time has been moving so fast when it comes to my baby’s growth. He still doesn’t do a lot of things compared to other babies his age and he does seem to be taking his time. That’s fine with me. He loves standing up now. He likes to be held up so he can stomp his feet on the ground. He jumps, too, every now and then. LOL! He also loves taking his glasses off just to chew it. LOL! He cannot sit […]
Blabber Chapter: Another Rant
It’s 1:52AM on my side of the world. And yet I can’t sleep. Been having insomnia attacks lately. I think given the events for these past few days, it was bound to happen. I still can’t forgive myself of losing my backpack, you know. More than the actual monetary value of the things I lost, what I really can’t let go is losing all of my files. 7 years worth of work files plus about 9 years worth of photos. And most of all, losing Z’s first 4 months of photos and videos. Trivia: For Z’s first 3 months, I’ve […]
Z’s Save the date…
I got news earlier in the evening that my baby will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. Yipee! According to my Mom, he is already back to his old self, his poop is no longer watery and he doesn’t poop every after feeding. And that is such a good sign. I am so happy about it. At least that takes out one thing that doesn’t make me sleep at night. Anyway, I was able to finish little Z’s save the date video for his baby dedication. Given that I have limited resources (including laptop, software and other stuff that I […]
Events Planner Mode: On
So, I have been planning my little boy’s baby dedication for quite some time now. I haven’t been concentrating on it, really, but now that I realized that my target date is less than a month from now, I am now in crunch time mode. Here’s what I’ve done so far: – I have finalized the date: April 12. 🙂 – I was able to talk to one of my Uncles who’s a pastor to officiate the dedication. – I have been in contact with one of the restaurants in Baguio (which was suggested by another relative) for the past […]
When it rains, it pours…
After the weekend “nightmare”, so to speak, I was thinking that maybe this week would bring a little bit of relief. Well, things doesn’t happen that way I guess, hence the saying, “when it rains, it pours.” It is just Wednesday (well, 1250AM this side of the world already) and yet the week feels to have been going in limbo. I went back to “the scene of the crime” on Monday morning to get a police report. Suffice it to say that the management of Victory Liner is not doing a very good job in these kinds of scenes. But […]
Segue: A Moment of Stupidity
I was planning to blog about something else today however, something happened last night between the post I published and the moment I arrived in the mountain city. I have been travelling to and from Baguio and Manila for 9 years now and never in my entire life have I experienced something like this. I guess this is what you call losing faith in humanity. Yep, people nowadays are so scary that you wouldn’t know who to really trust. (From what I’ve just experienced, I think I’d rather trust noone from now on). I was all excited to go home […]
Blabber Chapter: Midnight Thoughts
As I write this, I am already on my way to Baguio. In fact, I am already along NLEX. And this is the first post that I’ve written using my smartphone so pardon any typo errors. I should be getting some rest because I have a long day ahead of me once I get home. I have appointments scheduled for little Z’s baby dedication. Barely a month to go and I have yet to send the invites, make the save the date video, and come up with little Z’s AVP. Though I am not even sure if there’s a projector […]
Meet Our New Friends
As of this writing, my son is still awake, playing on the bed beside me. (And it is already 11:33 PM this side of the world). After a whole day travel, you’d have thought this kid is already tired and sleeping at this time. Looks like it doesn’t work that way. Not yet anyway. Update: 30 minutes after writing the above, the little boy finally succumbed to blessed sleep. Now I can finish this post by typing with all fingers on both hands. LOL! So here goes: Yesterday, well, Saturday afternoon, we met with a new friend. I stumbled upon […]
Almost over…
My son’s three weeks’ stay here in the big metro with me is almost over. We are going back home on Sunday and I will be leaving him there once I come back to work. I have enjoyed his long stay here with me. I mean, who wouldn’t, right? I enjoyed coming home from work in the wee hours of the morning knowing that when I get home, he will be there, sound asleep. No matter how tired I am, now matter how sound asleep my son is, I always make sure that I pick him up and cuddle him […]
