Little Z had his eye check up again earlier this week. If last year we were getting a set of good news-bad news every single consultation, this time, the little boy has been getting good news all throughout. Well, with the exception of the swelling thing but again, that was a minor thing now compared than before. The doctor checked Z’s eyes again and found out that both eyes are now clear of all swelling. Healing is going good as well. We need to change his lenses though. He is currently using a +18.00 OU lens (somewhat a higher version […]
Z’s 6th month weekend outing…
My son was born on the 29th day. Given that February only has 29th day every 4 years, it has been customary for people to celebrate birthdays on the 28th. It was a no-brainer, some would probably say. But for some reason, celebrating Z’s sixth month on the 28th seem to be a bit early. LOL! Silly, I know. So I decided to celebrate the 6th month milestone over the weekend instead. I was planning to bring the little boy to Tagaytay to celebrate. Just to be away from the big metro but not far enough to make it hard […]
Random Thoughts
I’ve been thinking quite a lot lately. I know, I know, I should just let things go and get some sleep before the sun rises again. But hey, sometimes, I can’t help it. I think about everything and nothing. I think about possibilities, make plans, set goals and other what-nots. Well, this activity occupies my so-called idle times of the day (whenever that is). Just some of the things that I’ve been thinking about lately: – I’m still trying so hard to come up with a balance between being a career woman and a mom. When people tell you this […]
I Want To Get Away, I Want To Fly Away…
That’s how the song of Lenny Kravitz go. 🙂 And this is what I sing when I want to travel. I have been browsing through online deals (as what I used to do) to check for items on sale or travels at a good deal when I ran into a few. All-inclusive 3D/2N trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. *Sigh* Given my present financial situation, I cannot really afford an international trip right now. Well, not yet anyway. But seeing that deal, I could only sigh. You see, I have been wanting to go to Cambodia (and even Vietnam) for the […]
Little Z’s First Food
I’ve been wanting to start Little Z with solids as early as 4 months but given all the medical hullabaloo that he went through last year, I knew I had to postpone it. And I was advised against it, too, given that he was having milk reflux when he was a lot younger. I have decided to start him with solids since the little boy is turning 6 months by the end of the week. After a few weeks of trying to find something that I can feed him – checking all 1st food of Gerber, Healthy Options and what-nots, […]
Shopping Tips for Parents-To-Be
I’ve been thinking of something to blog that will be a bit light to write about (since most of the ideas I have in my head are a tad bit depressing so I’ll shy away from that for now). I decided to walk home from work earlier to clear my head when I thought, why not write something about shopping for babies? Well, why not? Sounds like fun. I have liked quite a few mommy pages in Facebook and in every community page I liked, there is always that one mom asking about what she needs to prepare for the […]
Little Z’s Trip To The Eye Doctor
So, Little Z had his check up with the eye doctor earlier. Starting January this year, he has eye check up every two weeks. This is to ensure that his eyes are healing properly following his surgery last December. With the exception of the other week’s findings, his eyes appear to be healing properly.
But the other week, the eye doctor said Z’s eyes have swelling.
When Little Z Discovered The Backyardigans…
After several weeks of not letting him listen to Elmo’s World songs, I tried to let him watch Elmo’s World in YouTube. It was surprising because we never got a reaction from him. And then I remembered The Backyardigans. So I searched YouTube for The Backyardigans songs. Oh boy, the little boy loved it. Instead of me describing his reactions, better check out these videos. Watching my little boy get so excited was really fun. Enjoy! 🙂
One year ago… When it started to sink in…
This week last year, during my 10th week of pregnancy, I had another ultrasound following my monthly pre-natal check up. The few previous consultations I’ve had with my OB, the reality that I was pregnant has not really sank in yet. Everything was surreal until I saw my baby for the first time, moving his arms around. This was the second time that I had my ultrasound done. And it was the first time that I saw a baby for real. It was an emotional moment, to be honest. I remember having mixed emotions – joy, fear, doubts, and all […]
Baby Dedication Planning…
How do you go about planning a baby dedication event? For some reason, I think I don’t have any idea how to go about getting this one started. Sure, I have assisted in wedding planning for the past several years (runner for my cousin’s wedding, part-time planner/coordinator for my parents’ renewal of vows, damage controller/organizer/coordinator/emcee for another friend’s wedding, assisted in the wedding planning of my bestfriend’s wedding…) but a baby dedication/christening event? I don’t think I’ve done this before. Nu-uh. Nope. So, given that my baby dedication is not your usual christening for Catholics or Anglicans (I’m neither one […]
