12 Days For The Year That Was – December 2015

Merry Christmas! It’s already the 25th here on this side of the world. My brother and sister are outside having bonfire and drinks with a few friends. Little Z is already asleep after a busy day, my Mom is already asleep as well and my youngest brother went house-hopping. 😀 It’s been a quiet celebration in this house today. My cousin spent Christmas eve in the hospital because her baby still has to stay for observation and to get stronger (preemie baby). Praying that they will be home before new year, though so we can celebrate here at home. Anyway, more […]

12 Days For The Year That Was – November 2015

Hello from the mountain city where people are expecting the weather to be cold but in fact, not just yet. 😀 I arrived home this afternoon, around 3:30PM, after hanging in the terminal for about 3 hours just to chance a first class ride. I was able to chance it, thank goodness. I slept the whole trip since I didn’t have any sleep the night before because I had to tidy up my apartment and complete packing the stuff that I will be bringing with me, ensuring that I haven’t forgotten anything. Now, I feel so drowsy due to lack of […]

12 Days For The Year That Was – October 2015

I go home to my baby love today. Whoopee! I thought my ticket was at 12PM, I just checked and noticed that I got a 2PM regular trip. Oh yikes! All my bags are packed, gifts carefully wrapped and packed as well. I hope I haven’t forgotten anything though. I just finished tidying my house as well since it will be empty for more than a week. I am planning to go to the terminal in about a couple of hours or less to try to get an earlier trip. I hope I will be able to chance a seat at […]

12 Days For The Year That Was – September 2015

It’s starting to get light outside and here I am, once again, just got into bed preparing to get a few hours’ sleep. I just finished baking the last batch of goodies for delivery later today. Last batch of orders to fulfill. Thinking back about September of this year, it was when I bought my oven. Yes, I bought my very own 30L convection oven and a stand mixer to match. 😀 After a year of contemplation, deliberation and trying to find the best oven that I can afford, I was able to get the 3D convection oven. I don’t know where […]

12 Days For The Year That Was – August 2015

It’s already 6AM here and I just got settled on my bed. I’ve finished my Christmas shopping today. Yey! The hoards of people everywhere is outrageous. Good thing I only have a short list this year and was able to get them all in two days’ time. I also finished baking 10 packs of cookies to be delivered tomorrow, well, today and something else for my own giveaway to just a selected few. Oh, and I got one of the greatest news this afternoon. My cousin already gave birth. Welcome to the world, Baby SR! 😀 My brother already sent […]

12 Days For The Year That Was – July 2015

It’s already the 20th here on this side of the world. 5 days before Christmas. Who’s excited? 😀 To be honest, I cannot say that I feel the Christmas spirit just yet. I still have loads of pending work to complete and a lot of work that needs to get done in my apartment before I can go on vacation. This place really needs a lot of work and since it is so hard to coordinate schedules with the caretaker, I have been making a lot of temporary solutions to resolve the issues this place has. Oh well. So, I […]

12 Days For The Year That Was – June 2015

It’s still raining outside, making the weather a lot cooler in the big metro than what the people are used to, I think. As for me, I love this cool weather. I can say that I am able to take advantage of using my blanket fully. 🙂 And my fan is still turned on for that matter as well. Haha! Oh well, I am from the mountains so this kind of temperature is nothing new to me. I was trying to think back to what happened this month and I really cannot think of any that has significant value. It […]

12 Days For The Year That Was – May 2015

So it’s already 6:30AM on this side of the world. It’s already light outside and I have just finished baking 4 batches of chocolate chip oatmeal cookies to complete a 17 pack order. It was tiring but also very fulfilling. I never expected it but I am really happy that a few people appreciate my baking. I didn’t even have the guts to really put it out there and turn it into a business but my office mates were already badgering me to sell to them. So I am happy. It’s already the 18th here; 7 days before Christmas. Time has […]

12 Days For The Year That Was – April 2015

It’s almost 4AM on this side of the world. Where did the time go? It was just 2AM a while ago… It’s been raining almost the whole day today. Traffic was really bad and taxis are nowhere to be found. Grab and Uber surges are way too much too. Sheeesh. Let’s look back on what happened to my life last April of this year. April marked my 10th year of living in the big metro. When I first started out, I never entertained the idea of staying in the big metro this long. I gave myself 5 years only, just enough […]

12 Days For The Year That Was – January and February 2015

I was planning to start a 12 blog posts for 12 days of Christmas but I have already missed two days. I kinda lost count, actually. Haha! I was thinking of doing another series of 12 Days of Gratitude – just like what I did last year – and then I thought, why not do something different? So here is what I am thinking. Since I have already done 12 Days of Gratitude last year, why not recount the things that I have been most grateful for for each month of this year? Sounds good? I’ll be doing January and February […]
