12 Days of Gratitude – Day 12

And here I am on the last day of my gratitude series. πŸ™‚ To be honest, this activity is starting to make me see things through a different perspective. Though there are days that are not going as good as we expected, there is still that little thing that we can be thankful for. Having a thankful heart will actually do good for us. Makes it easier to let go of stressful situations, too. πŸ™‚ Anyway, it is such a great timing to end this today as I am celebrating a milestone of my own. Today marks my 8th year […]

12 Days of Gratitude – Day 11

It has been a lazy day today. I guess everyone was just in the mood to sleep. I myself was too sleepy the whole day. πŸ˜€ The sun was out the whole day, the weather was overall pleasant here in the mountain city though I really find it warm for December. According to Accuweather, it is around 15 degrees Celsius outside. I just came from outside and I still find it warm. One good thing I miss doing during these kinds of night where I find myself still awake is to stargaze. There are a lot of stars outside and […]

12 Days of Gratitude – Day 10

Merry Christmas, everyone! πŸ˜€ We just had a little food prepared for noche buena since most of us won’t really be eating anyway (and there were only a handful of us at home). My Uncle, siblings and cousins set up a bonfire at the back of the house and had the annual drinking session that lasts until the sun comes up (or until everybody’s too drunk to drink anymore. LOL!). Little Z woke up at around midnight as well and he was able to open (with Mommy’s help) his gifts. πŸ˜€ As usual, he was more fond of the wrappers […]

12 Days of Gratitude – Day 9

It is the eve of Christmas. πŸ™‚ Today, we spent lunch with friends and little Z, Kuya Sam and Bea met together for the first time. It seems that the three kids are all used to spending time with adults that they don’t know yet how to socialize with other kids. LOL! I think it will take a bit more time for them to get used to it. Anyway, for today’s gratitude, and I have really intended this day for a very specific thing to be grateful for. For today, I am grateful for the life of my son. Up […]

12 Days of Gratitude – Day 8

In less than 24 hours in this side of the world, it will be Christmas. Are your lists complete yet? πŸ™‚ My son and I will be having lunch with a few friends tomorrow and I am already excited and at the same time worried. Excited because this will be the first time that the three of us will be seeing each other after having kids. Will talk about that more after the lunch date. I am worried though because of the heavy traffic jam due to last minute shopping and what-nots. I hope it won’t be too bad getting […]

12 Days of Gratitude – Day 7

I just realized that my 12 Days of Gratitude will end on the 28th. I was initially thinking it would last until January 1st. LOL! I think my brain was already asleep when I came up with the idea. Oh well, never mind as I have several ideas lined up for posting in the days after this series. So, this is what it feels like to be on vacation. I slept most of the morning away and then took a nap with my son after his bath. I left the house mid-afternoon to run some errands and while the itemsΒ I […]

12 Days of Gratitude – Day 6

After my whole day of house cleaning yesterday, I had forgone sleep and went to the bus terminal way earlier than my scheduled trip. My ticket was for 11AM trip but I was able to chance a ride at 5AM. Slept the whole trip as well. πŸ™‚ So I guess you know what’s today’s gratitude is all about. Well, here it goes: I am grateful for a very safe taxi ride from my apartment all the way to the bus terminal with a driver giving me advise to ensure my safety. πŸ™‚ I got to the terminal expecting long queue […]

12 Days of Gratitude – Day 5

I have been cleaningΒ my tiny apartment since I got home last night and continued when I woke up around noon today. I only went out to buy food and to buy a few things as well. And now I am finally done with the clean up. Whoopee!! My kitchen cabinets have been sorted out; closet sorted removed clothes no longer being used; my laundry hamper is now empty and I am just waiting for the rest of the laundry to dry so I can fold and keep them; shelves have been dusted, cleaned and stuff arranged; floor has been swept […]

12 Days of Gratitude – Day 4

Today is my last day of work for this year. I start my 2-week vacation next week and will be reporting back to work on the 5th of January. Weeee! πŸ˜€ Early this afternoon, my team went out for lunch. We didn’t talk about work but just had sort of spontaneous conversations. It was laid-back and it was fun. I really had a great time. I wish we could have extended our time but then duty calls and we had to get back to the office. As soon as we got back to the office, I picked up my laptop […]

12 Days of Gratitude – Day 1

So it’s already 2AM this side of the world and yet here I am still, typing this post using my new toy. I just got home about 30 minutes ago from work and once again, I am not able to sleep. #turninginsomniac My body hurts all over. My upper back hurts, my lower back hurts, my thighs and legs hurt, my feet hurt, even my head is now starting to hurt. And I still have a lot of things to do before I go home. I haven’t started with my laundry yet and my hamper is already overflowing, I haven’t […]
