12 Days of Gratitude – Day 4

Today is my last day of work for this year. I start my 2-week vacation next week and will be reporting back to work on the 5th of January. Weeee! 😀

Early this afternoon, my team went out for lunch. We didn’t talk about work but just had sort of spontaneous conversations. It was laid-back and it was fun. I really had a great time. I wish we could have extended our time but then duty calls and we had to get back to the office.

As soon as we got back to the office, I picked up my laptop and went straight to the conference room for another round of meetings. When I got back to my desk, I was surprised to find presents from my ladies. I was touched and at the same time, I was a bit embarrassed as I was not able to get them anything. I was planning to bake them some goodies a few weeks ago but I was not able to find time to do so and I was not able to hit the malls, too, as I had been working long hours. I will definitely get some something once I come back next month. 🙂

So, for today’s gratitude – I am grateful to have found two great ladies for our team. We were able to find great talents and in time, with some help, I would be able to nurture them to grow as well. Just as I would be growing with them.  I know that with these two ladies, we will be able to achieve the team’s purpose and goals. I am also grateful to have had the opportunity to have lunch with our admin assistant. As she has been doing a lot of things to assist with our needs, it was an honor to have her join us for lunch.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. I am making this so “formal”, for the lack of better term, and yet, I really enjoyed it. I will definitely plan more of these dinners in the future.

There’s my 4th day. Looking forward to January to see these ladies again. 🙂
