I can already feel that Christmas is just around the corner but for some reason, I am still not able to get into the spirit of the season. Probably because I still have a lot of things to do before my 2-week vacation starts. Oh well.
A lot of us at work will be on leave starting Monday next week and will be back by January 5, 2015. A few already started with their vacation as early as yesterday. 😀 But until I get my work completed for the week, instructions given to my team for next week and my apartment is clean, I can breath a sigh of relief and be able to get into the festive mood. 😀
So, since this is technically the last week at work for most of us, giving of gifts has started as well. So for day 3 of this activity of mine, I am grateful for the treats that I received from colleagues. I really don’t expect gifts during the holidays, to be honest. I kind of feel awkward even when I receive a gift. I am just not used to it. I am more familiar with the feeling of giving rather than receiving. 😀
And those whom I received gifts from, I haven’t expected it. So it was a total surprise for me. It just makes me feel grateful to have very thoughtful work mates, even if we rarely talk to each other face to face (since there is a very long hallway to walk through to get to them. LOL)
I have also received gifts from some of my colleagues for the little boy. And with that, again, I am grateful for them. (Photo to follow).
Update on the photo (updated on 19 December 2014):
And in return, I wish them more blessings this holiday season and prosperity for the coming year. 🙂
