Blog Challenge: Favorite time of the year
This is something that I have thought about for a long time. When I was still in school, I would have answered vacation period because I don’t need to wake up early to go to school and no homework to think of. Or probably, I’d say Christmas because of the usual reasons – holidays, gifts, noche buena, Christmas spirit and everything that comes with it.
Then there was this time (it was just a few months ago) that I realized that I love September. Fiscal year end. LOL! Some would say I have such a masochistic approach to how I handle my job but hey, I can’t help it if I like the stress of the year end. For some reason, it gives me that adrenaline high that I wanted. Oh well.
Then I thought about it further and I guess I would say that I still like Christmas and it would probably still be my favorite time of the year. Not for the reasons that I have specified above or the usual reason that I give out when people ask why. Christmas time means lots of bazaars and sales, lights all over the city, and lots of items to wrap for gifts. I like giving gifts. And I love wrapping them. And of course, that’s where the bazaars and sales come in. I go there to look for items to give to my growing list of nephews and nieces and godkids. I like seeing the happy faces of kids, the way their eyes light up when they receive a wrapped present during Christmas. I love seeing those expressions so I keep on giving them something. Now that I have my own kiddo, I look forward to the Christmases that we will spend together and I can’t wait to see his expression when he gets his presents.
So, there. Well, if the question was favorite season, I’d say fall. But then that is going to be for another discussion. 🙂
Photo Challenge: Family photo
Well, well. I think I will just post a collage instead since I have already posted a lot of photos of my son and I. Here’s a compilation of photos with family (and when I say family, I mean extended family) from the time little Z was born:
