Overall, regardless of the day or the time, I am so honored to be a mom to a very special boy. My son has brought me so much joy since he came to my life. He forced me to become a better person and to push myself further to achieve my goals. Most of all, he showed me how it feels to be loved and to love unconditionally. For that alone, I am thankful.
Thank you for not giving up on us, even when we have given you so much headache and heartache in our younger years. 🙂
Now that I am a mom myself, I am starting to realize how hard it is to be you. With everything that our family has gone through, you have shown strength, courage and determination. And a lot of love and patience.
Eversince I started creating my weekly menu plans, Z’s nanny had an easier time cooking our meals during the week. She no longer has to decide on her own or wait for me to tell her what to cook. Menu planning has definitely made our lives easier. No kidding on that, especially for a working mom like me.
However, on weekends, I take over the reigns in the kitchen. Weekends are the times when I am able to cook something that is not usually included in our plans. I get to experiment on different recipes or even come up with my own.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who’s thinking about getting out of the rat race and starting a business but doesn’t know where to begin. But more than that, I highly recommend this book to students who are starting to plan out their future. It is best that they learn this earlier on instead of making the same mistakes that we all go through before realizing that we’ve wasted so much time in figuring out our way to financial freedom.
Swimming is something that you really can’t unlearn once you learn how to do it. Last year, I wrote about Z’s swimming activities (you can read them here). But his swimming activities was not as consistent as it should have been because I was still dependent on what he does during his physical therapy sessions. However, even when we seldom go swimming, the little boy has been improving a lot. And I say, A LOT!

That was 12 years ago. I was a wide-eyed little girl, trying to make it big in the big metro. I got out of my comfort bubble and tried something that was unfamiliar to me.
12 years later and I am still here. I have overcome a lot, tried so many things, grew a little bit older. And while life in the big metro is hard, I can say that I am glad to have made that decision to leave my comfort zone and try to make a life for myself. I am glad and thankful that my parents supported my decision all those years ago.
