One thing we noticed with the staff at Treasures is that they always smile at guests and they are always courteous. You will always be greeted by them. And they are all friendly.
Being in the customer service industry for more than 10 years now, I couldn’t help but notice a few things that may need to be improved. One of which is something that is really important in a business such as a resort.
I’ve been wanting to bring Zaine to the beach again and see how he fares with the water, the sun and the sand. Not that I don’t know how he does with water though. That kid loves the water. But the last time he was at the beach was a long time ago. He was only 9 months old when I brought him to our company outing in a resort in Batangas. He was weirded out with the sand back then.
We used to frequent beaches in Pangasinan back when I was a kid but we have never been to Bolinao. Bolinao is known to be the “Boracay of the North” given its white (actually, it’s more like beige) sand and nice beach resorts. And so we decided to go to Bolinao this summer.
I spent a few sleepless nights searching for resorts in Bolinao that will meet our criteria. Those criteria are: 1) swimmable beach, 2) kid-friendly place, 3) swimming pool, 4) comfortable accommodations.
Simple, right? Or so I thought.

The year started a little bit crazier than I expected. I actually haven’t anticipated the turn of events that happened this year. But such is life, you know. It is filled with twists and turns and we never really see them coming.
Cafe By The Ruins is a nice place to celebrate events or to just spend time with family, friends or your special someone. I haven’t been to Cafe By The Ruins for a long time. The last time I remember would probably be when I took my Mom and Aunt for coffee when I was about 5 months pregnant. And that was to make it officially known to relatives that I was pregnant. LOL! That was a long time ago.
This was also my first time to go to Dua. And while the new place doesn’t have the same ambience as the original one, it definitely has its own charm but the same warm, welcoming feeling.
The end goal in doing these money challenges is forming the habit of saving money. These are a few of the baby steps that we can take towards achieving financial freedom.
These challenges are short term as well and one thing that will make one stick to these challenges is setting goals. Apart from forming a habit, what are you saving up for? Z and I have big goals this year. And I do hope that we can tick a few off the list by the end of 2018. Looking forward to the challenge.

Last Sunday, the little boy and I met up with my Mom after church so we can go have coffee. She suggested Sweet Stop at La Azotea Building. I didn’t know that they are now a cafe to be honest. They used to have this kiosk at the entrance of La Azotea with displays of their delectable cupcakes and other pastries.
In fact, back in 2011, I ordered cupcakes from them for my parents’ renewal of vows. I got 100 pieces of banana cupcake with buttercream frosting.
