All My Bags Are Packed…

One month has gone by so fast. It seems like it was just like a few days ago when I went home to the mountain city to pick up my little Z and bring him to the big metro to stay with me for a month. Tomorrow, well, in a few hours’ time, we will be travelling back home to the mountain city. I will be coming back alone again. I have finished packing all his things (clothes, toys and supplies) and seeing his cabinet drawer empty saddens me. I know I should be sleeping now as we have an early […]

All About Z…

I have been going through Z’s photos that I’ve posted in Facebook and the photos that I was able to recover and I couldn’t just help but think every single time that time has been going by so fast. It only seems like yesterday (or probably a week ago, if you may) when I was rubbing my swollen tummy trying to wake him up so I could feel him kick and let me know that he’s listening to my babbles. In what seems like a blink of an eye, my swollen, very pregnant tummy became flat once again, and my little big baby […]

Z’s First Haircut

Last Sunday, Z finally had his first haircut. I haven’t had his hair cut since he was born so for the past few months, we had his hair clipped or tied it back to keep it off his face. I was really hesitant to have his hair cut because I just love the texture of his hair. He’s got a very fine straight hair that curls at the end. It was actually pretty. 😀 But after several months of my family asking me when will I have his hair cut, I gave in and last Sunday, as part of our weekly […]

Z Moments…

My little boy has been in the mountain city for the past almost three months. And I have been commuting back and forth every weekend since I brought him back home. Given that we only have the weekends to bond and spend time together, I usually take a lot of photos of him as well as videos of his antics. After his birthday, the little boy was still getting gifts in paperbags. For some reason, little Z was more interested with the paper bag rather than the content. And here are three videos to prove it: So funny! 😀 I actually […]

Z @ 13 Months

My little boy turned 13 months yesterday. And while we are apart, we had fun over the weekend. We were able to get out of the house after several weekends of rain in the mountain city. We only went out to buy his diapers and milk and have lunch. 😀 Z has become a very active, very talkative tot. He may not speak coherent words yet but he already has different intonations when he babbles. He also loves to laugh and smile, showing all his dimples in different parts of his face. So cute! His smiles are always a be-still-my-heart […]

A Weekend of Celebrations

It’s a few minutes past 6 in the morning here in this side of the world. Last day of the month of June. 🙂 I just arrived from the mountain city about an hour ago and I should be sleeping now for a few more hours before I start my work day. I slept through the whole trip (which was surprisingly only about 5 hours – I was expecting a 6-hour trip) and I usually sleep a few more hours when I get home but for some reason, I feel tired but not at all sleepy. Anyways, the last two […]

Roadtrippin’

Last Sunday was the very first time that little Z and I went on a long trip together without my sister. As I mentioned previously, my sister went home last Wednesday and Z and I were left alone for a few days before going home to the mountain city on Sunday. Given that Victory Liner suspended their advanced booking for about a week or so (I just learned from my friend that as of Saturday, advanced bookings are again allowed. What a bummer!), we had to get to the terminal very early to be able to get a ticket for the 10:15AM […]

Z’s Milestones…

As you all know, my son has Down Syndrome. And given his medical journey from the time of his birth and his condition, his development is said to be delayed. So with that said, I have been trying to keep track of all his milestones and development to compare that to the milestone range that I have up on one of my bedroom walls. However, to be honest, even if I have the chart up at eye level and at somewhere really easy to find, I haven’t been paying attention to it. Every time my son is here with me in the big […]

Z’s First Outing

I just got home about an hour ago from another long day at work. Well, I was supposed to write this down last night but I was having migraine attacks  so I slept instead, about an hour after little Z did. Last Saturday was our company summer outing. Yes, it was indeed late already but at least we still had one. 🙂 Only about half of our business unit attended given that most of them were already preparing for the start of the school year (last minute shopping and all that). The outing was in Canyon Cove, Batangas then dinner […]

A Bazaar and Coffee Date with Superman

Today is little Z’s last day here in the big metro. In a few hours from now (since it is already almost 2 AM in this side of the world), we will travel back home and I will be leaving him with my Mom and sister again. *Sigh* And since my little boy and my sis are stuck in the house the whole week, I make it a point that I bring them out during weekends. And today was no exception. I have seen the ads in my FB newsfeeds regarding Mommy Mundo’s Expo Mom bazaar in Glorietta. Being a […]
