Today is fathers’ day. Before anything else, let me greet all fathers out there a Happy Fathers’ Day. I know your children are honored to have you as their father and wouldn’t trade you for anyone else. May you continue to be the best father that you ought to be to your children.
Like I said, today is fathers’ day. It used to be a fun occasion for me, except for two years now, it has become a bittersweet day for two reasons:

And here I am on the last day of my gratitude series. 🙂 To be honest, this activity is starting to make me see things through a different perspective. Though there are days that are not going as good as we expected, there is still that little thing that we can be thankful for. Having a thankful heart will actually do good for us. I just realized that my 12 Days of Gratitude will end on the 28th. I was initially thinking it would last until January 1st. LOL! I think my brain was already asleep when I came up with the idea. After my whole day of house cleaning yesterday, I had forgone sleep and went to the bus terminal way earlier than my scheduled trip. My ticket was for 11AM trip but I was able to chance a ride at 5AM. Slept the whole trip as well. 🙂 So I guess you know what’s today’s gratitude is all about. And here I am once again, blogging on the way to the mountain city. Yep, I am going home for the weekend. Good thing that I bought my bus ticket last Monday when I arrived in the big metro. The queue at the ticket booth was so long, it already reached the main highway. There was a time that I don’t go home during these times because of the heavy traffic jams on main thoroughfares as well as the hassle of lining up to buy a ticket or queueing for a chance ride. I have seen a lot of posts in my FB newsfeeds about different modus operandi happening in public transportations within the big metro. As I type this, the bus has just left the terminal on the way to the big metro. I took my usual trip, 11:55pm, just so I can avoid the morning super heavy traffic jam that starts at Balintawak all the way to the end of EDSA on a Monday.
