MBP’s Mad Hatter Halloween Party

It’s been almost two weeks since the Halloween party of Mommy Bloggers Philippines and it is just now that I am able to sit down and blog about it. It felt like the event happened just this weekend, though. LOL!

Anyway, it was our second time to attend a Halloween party. I’m serious. We don’t believe in Halloween so when I was younger, we never participated in any trick-or-treat events. The first ever Halloween party that I’ve attended was MBP’s first Halloween party two years ago. 🙂 You can read more about it here. Last year, my son and I were not able to attend due to logistics issue. This year, when the event was posted, I made the decision to sign up because for me, it would be a great venue to socialize with other mommy bloggers and the little boy to interact with other kids as well. And besides, the venue was The Mind Museum. Who wouldn’t say no to that, eh? 🙂

This year’s theme was the mad hatter. I didn’t really plan on dressing up my son or even planned to DIY a hat for that matter. But then the impulsive side of me made a last minute decision – about less then 12 hours before the event – to go DIY. LOL! You can read more about the DIY project here.

This is going to be a photo heavy post so please bear with me. So, let’s go through a few photos taken, shall we?

At the lobby, while waiting for registration to open. The little boy was initially overwhelmed and was a bit frightened by the sounds inside that it took about 15 minutes for him to lighten up and smile for a photo

After registration. While other kids started running around, the little boy was contented sitting down and playing with his first few treats :)

While waiting for the program to start. 2 years ago, it was Z and I and my sister. This year, it is Z and I and ate Lhen, Z's nanny :)

Mommy Lally was at the event, too. And I just couldn't pass the chance to have a photo with her. You see, we usually bump into each other at random events previously but never had the chance to take a single pic.

Had a photo with Mommy Lani, too. I finally had the courage to talk to her. Yipee! LOL!

I didn’t have the chance to take more photos with other moms as I was busy running around, following the little boy. And I think all the moms at the event were doing the same, too. Hopefully, I will be able to meet more moms and really get to chat with them next event. 🙂

As was the first MBP Halloween party, there were a lot of sponsors, too.

And of course, what event now doesn’t come with a photobooth, right? Here’s one of our photos from Peekabooth:

Prizes for the best in costume and best in hat were provided by RichPrime.

Whew. LOL! We went to the event with only a big bag full of the little boy’s things but we came home with another bag full of treats from the generous sponsors. And while the little boy didn’t win any prize, we still feel like we already won from all the giveaways we got to bring home. #notricksonlytreats
