Blog Challenge – Day 2: Meaning of my Blog Name

I just got home an hour ago after n-hours of work (I’m not gonna divulge that information, har har har). I got my ticket reservation at the bus terminal, too, since I am expecting hoards of people going up to the mountain city over the weekend. Again.

Anyways, I just posted an ad, if you will, at one FB groups that caters to party needs. Boy, in minutes, I got an overwhelming response. I have been responding to messages from one supplier to the other for the past half hour. More on that later on. 😀

So. Here we are. Day 2 of the challenge. If you’ve noticed, my blog site is different from my blog name. That was intended to be that way. The site name – zaineandi – well, obviously would mean that the site will be all about me and my son’s journey through life.

Now the name Diaries of a Control-Freak Mom popped in my head one evening in September during my son’s second hospital confinement. I was talking to the nurse that night – while she was doing all the nursely thing to my son – about motherhood and all that. I can’t remember the exact topic of the conversation. All I remember is the part that sometimes, there are things that you can’t really control and it gets frustrating. And just like a lightbulb turning on in my head, knowing that I am indeed a control-freak, I thought of the name of my next blog.

Diaries of a Control-freak Mom is as stated. It is a journal of, not exactly day-to-day, the daily life of a control-freak, workaholic, single mom who is trying to cope with the demands of motherhood and the demands of a career. It is to document the joys, the frustrations and other what-nots of being a mom and being a career woman just to save my sanity (at times, not always 😀 ).

There. There’s nothing really special about my blog name. When I thought of it, I knew that it will be my blog name because it fits. 😀
