Day 7: Dream Job and Nap Time

Blog Challenge: Dream Job

I dunno. I wanted to be a pediatrician for the longest time. Then I made a turn to a different direction. Then there was a time when I my goal was to become an executive. Not sure what kind, though. 😛 I would go up the corporate ladder easily, own three cars and a house. Well, not exactly a dream job.

Anyway, I haven’t really thought about this for a long, long time. I  have always thought that climbing the corporate ladder will be easy as 1-2-3. I never realized that being in the corporate world means being a corporate slave and running the rat race until you get out of it. So, I don’t know. I’ll try to answer this but I am not sure if I am hitting the right target, so to speak.

Right now, I am a part of the rat race. I am a corporate slave. Hey, don’t get me wrong. I love my job right now. But seriously, when you look at it from my perspective, anyone working in the corporate world is a corporate slave. But if you are an entrepreneur, that’s a different story all together.

So, going back. For many years now, I have wanted to become a silent investor in small businesses. There was this time when I wanted to set up my own business – a bar cafe. But given the work that needs to be done, it sounded tedious. So I thought of becoming an investor instead. But I would rather become an investor in a business that I know has great potentials.  You know, assess the risks and damages, chances of the business failing and what-nots.

What do I like about becoming an investor? Well, you shell out the cash, you don’t do anything apart from what you routinely do, you get percentages of the profit. I think that is called “making your money work for you” or something.

So I guess at this stage, my dream job would be to become an investor in a good and stable business. Now my problem will be the investment itself. Let’s see where we can get that. 😛

Photo Challenge: Nap time

I could seriously post a lot of photos of my son having his nap time. During his first few weeks of life, he was asleep more often than not so there’s nothing to shoot apart from him sleeping in different positions.

But here’s a photo of him napping this afternoon after his check up. Enjoy!
